Dawna Lee DKATI, N.D.
I am a professional Art Therapist who has been practicing since 2014. I did my graduate training at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute where I finished with Honours. Afterwards, I became a member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association. I have earned my BA in Social Development Studies with a Specialization in Social Work. I am also a registered Naturopath and I am an approved Mental Health provider for Health Canada (NIHB).

I have extensive experience working with Indigenous communities from a strength-based and culturally informed approach. In the spirit of cultural humility, I have worked alongside indigenous healers that have informed my art therapy practice in acknowledging that the land and the human psyche are inextricably tied together. The Mind/Body/Nature triad can cultivate insights, balance and a greater sense of well-being.
I work with all populations and specialize in working with children and their families to strengthen their emotional bonds through a cultural and attachment informed approach in art therapy.
